Mensah-Adjei
An imaginary alphabet drawn from adinkra symbols, street signage and the typography of Accra's markets.

Biography
« Every sign is a door. The viewer chooses which one to open. »
For fifteen years Kofi Mensah-Adjei has been building a personal graphic vocabulary: hundreds of freehand signs that cover the canvas like handwriting.
Between Akan heritage and contemporary urban culture, his works call for slow reading. Each painting is a page from a story that remains open.
Career
- “Scripts”, group exhibition — Fadelle Institut
