Set a budget, then forget it
Define a realistic yearly budget. At Fadelle Institut, original works by emerging artists start at 150,000 FCFA, and payment can be split into three or four instalments.
Insist on provenance
Every work sold by the institute comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, a technical sheet and, on request, a condition report. These documents underpin the value of your collection.
A work you truly love never goes out of fashion. It grows with you.
Think about conservation
Avoid direct sunlight and humidity. For textiles and works on paper, choose UV-protective glazing. Our hanging team can advise you at home.
