About the work
Discover Amara Diallo
Look slowly.
Spirals, dots and indigo bands intertwine across a vibrant yellow ground. Amara Diallo transposes the rhythmic structure of sabar drumming: call, response, silence.
Colour has a tempo. I look for the moment it begins to sing.
